VisitorGuard / Features
Which VisitorGuard features are live?
Kiosk and contactless flows, photo badges, GPS on staff sign-in, host notifications, watchlists, desks and events. The in-app Features tour lives on the webapp.
Contactless and kiosk
Pre-registration links, rotating walk-up QR, self-registration portal, and a paired landscape tablet at the door - VisitorGuard Kiosk (tech.cloudguard.visitorguard.kiosk, version 1.0.0). Play-ready; Colin signs the release AAB.
VisitorGuard Employee
A dedicated iOS and Android app for staff phones (tech.cloudguard.visitorguard.employee, version 1.0.0, portrait): GPS sign-in/out, leave, host approvals, who’s on site, roll call and push. Play-ready; Colin signs the release AAB. Not the kiosk tablet.
Photo badges
Branded CR80 or label badges with QR. Silent print queues for supported printers.
GPS and require-location
Employee sign-in can capture coordinates. Sites may require location (VG-GEO-001) and still apply a geofence.
Notifications
Email, Teams, Slack, SMS and push when a guest arrives, a delivery lands, or a roll call starts.
Safety
Watchlist, incidents, questionnaires, onboarding packs, credentials and collaborative evacuation.
Workplace
Events, appointments, desk and room booking, meetings, leave and shifts - licensed as add-on modules.
Per-tenant Grok bot
Each workspace has its own Grok (xAI) assistant, BYOK or platform key, chats and tools inside that tenant. Questions and actions run on the caller’s RBAC (VG-AI-004 if forbidden). Cursor stays platform-only.
Pull branding from a website
Paste a public https URL in Branding to preview logo and colours, then apply. Failures are VG-BRAND-001. HTML is never stored in audit.
Dashboard builder and reports
After login, that company’s /app dashboard is who is in the building and company ops - not VisitorGuard webpage analytics. Per-tenant dashboard builder (add/remove/reorder widgets, per-role and per-site layouts on dashboard_layouts) and report builder (stock + custom, columns, date range, CSV/PDF on report_definitions). Visitor Cloud /platform has a left sidebar by default (Customers, Licenses, Reports, Currency, Layout, …), Super admin in the header, and its own dashboard and report builders on platform tables. Each signed-in user picks left sidebar, top navigation or compact in Settings → Layout - per user, not tenant branding. Tenant JWT is 401/403. Prices in £. Tenant A cannot read B’s layouts, reports or UI preference.
Windows desktop
Microsoft Store identities tech.cloudguard.visitorguard.desktop and .kiosk. Same Angular app. Pairing or a staff code - no public signup.
Envelope encryption
Per-tenant KEKs wrap data keys (DEK → tenant KEK → platform master). Another customer’s KEK cannot unwrap yours (VG-CRYPTO-001).
Staff authorisation codes
Reception issues an 8-character staff code. Auto office sign-in on Employee is off by default. A kiosk pairing code will not open the phone (VG-AUTH-007).
Wallet, domains and identity
Apple and Google wallet passes from an invite, kiosk welcome video, custom fonts, a drag-and-drop badge designer, 24 UI languages, custom Host domains, signed Stripe plan webhooks, CLEAR/TransUnion identity checks, dedicated MySQL, Key Vault wrapping, scheduled report email, Zapier and Power Automate, meeting catering/AV, and delivery OCR - all tenant-scoped. Demo passes are unsigned.
Print policy, brand profiles and LMS
Print first/every/never, named brand profiles in one building, visitor-type flow builder, permission templates, restricted deliveries (VG-DEL-003), event badges, Moodle/Canvas LMS and EHS stubs (VG-LMS-001), Google SSO, module org/site/role scopes (VG-MOD-001), Stripe add-on entitle, credential reminders, utilization reports, companion AI scoping (VG-AI-007), Android lock task, a platform reseller tab, appointment payments in £ (VG-PAY-001), and AI appointment slot suggestions.
VisitorGuard licenses
Visitor Cloud super admin generates 1–5 year VisitorGuard licenses, may discount them (percent and/or £ off) or mark them complimentary (amount due £0.00), emails the branded £ copy with list, discount and amount due, and notifies the customer (and Helpdesk) 30 days before expiry (VG-LIC-003) and when it expires (VG-LIC-004). Customers paste the key in Billing to add it - they cannot generate, reissue, revoke or change the price (VG-LIC-009). Adding a paid key generates a VisitorGuard invoice in £ GBP and exports it to the tenant’s connected finance system (Xero, QuickBooks, FreshBooks, Sage 200, Business Central). Complimentary £0 invoices are recorded, not charged; Sage 200 skips £0 with an audited reason. Demo adapters run without live keys. Sync status pending/sent/failed (VG-FIN-*, VG-LIC-010). Tenant A cannot see or push B’s invoices or finance credentials. A tenant JWT cannot mint a license; tenant A cannot add B’s key or see B’s pricing (VG-LIC-002). Invalid discount is VG-LIC-008.
